Is the resurrection regeneration always at Christmas? That's a little thematically blunt.

This all feels very Douglas Adams, for some reason.

Did he really say "comradeship" at the beginning? Is that really a real word? What's wrong with camaraderie?

Other than that, I understood nothing, but nevertheless was vaguely entertained in odd flashes.

I haven't watched this yet? But no, the Christmas episode is not always the regeneration episode. Nine regenerated at the end of his only season. And Ten regenerated technically at new year's, I think, although it was the second part of a two-parter that started on Christmas.

On the one hand, that's a relief. On the other, it also strikes some perverse part of me as a failure of nerve. Why not make the Doctor meta-Jesus? It would make me happier to think about something like that than any number of actual DW episodes would.
