Especially considering all the mess they had with the writer's strike! Thought i'm still sad we never got to the episode where Cameron goes to the prom (in my head canon, Derek tries to warn off her date, but finds himself shifting into a now-you-better-be-a-gentleman-with-my-niece speech instead, and then absolutely loathing both her and himself for allowing him to feel least bit protective towards her.)
