Amazon, Evil but Can-Do?
Dec. 14th, 2012 02:48 pmONE HOUR....and counting on Skype with Amazon Kindle customer support (since like 6 AM, their time, for which I can only demonstrate mindboggled admiration) trying to ship a new kindle to Israel. They're trying to transfer me to the UK now, because it doesn't work from the US fdor some reason, though it worked fine from Kentucky last time.
Amazon's internal customer support appears to me to be structured in some truly Gormenghastian ways now, but they're always extremely nice and helpful and they always ship me new Kindles, so who am I to complain. This, by the way, is to be Kindle #5 (well, 6 if we count the one that got lost in the Swedish tundra/postal system that one time,) all, somehow still on the same warranty. I guess the trick is...break 'em often?
