Everyone seems to like Elementary now. I guess i'll have to go back to watching it. And I so enjoyed embracing my disheartment with it early on too...

I'll be interested to see what you think. How far did you get? I liked it fine enough but didn't get *really* into it till sometime halfway through. Of course, I didn't even start it until a couple months ago when everyone was going wild for it. If I'd started last fall I likely wouldn't have kept it up either.

I stopped at episode 10 or thereabouts. It just wasn't doing anything for me, and doing a few small but irritating things against me, and Sherlock Holmes seems like he can't possibly be not-exhausted at the moment. (I quit the BBC one around that time as well, three quarters of the way through the first episode with Irene Adler. It was so bad I have not been able to make myself watch one more minute since.) It seems they go somewhere interesting with the stuff that was annoying me?(I kind of skim peoples reactions and thoughts out of the corner of my eye, spoiler-wary, but that's the impression) so I want to give it another go.

...ok, possibly I just want to give it another go because I want to be able to be part of the argument. Conversation. I mean conversation.

Well, I mostly watch Doctor Who to be part of the conversation! And watch vids, read fic, etc. I love Elementary but that doesn't mean it's for everyone, obviously! Anyway if you watch I hope you post, I'd be interested to know if the issues you were having with it were resolved.

How the relationships have grown is a big draw, something that might not be seen in half a season. And I like in particular how the story of Sherlock Holmes is mainly his journey as an addict, which is, at last, something different from the usual adaptations.
